Boundary Surveys - Advanced Geomatics

Boundary Surveys

A boundary survey is a type of land survey that determines the exact legal boundaries of a piece of property. The survey typically involves a licensed surveyor who uses specialized equipment and techniques to locate and mark the property corners and boundary lines.

During a boundary survey, the surveyor will research the property's legal description, deed, and other relevant documents to determine the exact boundaries of the property. The surveyor may also review any existing surveys, plats, or maps that may affect the property boundaries. Once the surveyor has determined the boundaries, they will mark them on the ground using physical markers. The surveyor will then create a map or survey report documenting the results of the survey, including any discrepancies or boundary line disputes that may exist.

A boundary survey is often required when purchasing or selling a property, building a fence or structure, or settling a boundary dispute with a neighbor. It can help prevent legal issues and ensure that property owners are aware of the exact extent of their property boundaries.
